Brenda Boonabaana

Brenda is a Lecturer at Makerere University, Uganda, Gender and Development Researcher and trainer, and has a PhD in Tourism, Development and Gender attained from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand (2012). She is a Fellow of the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) under the GAAP2 project. Over the last 5 years, she has provided Gender expertise to several international and national development agencies. She will co-train on the following GREAT sessions: Self-awareness; Gender-Responsive Agricultural Research for Development; Data collection methods (Qualitative); Interview and Focus Group practice; Debrief of field visit and self-awareness and approaches to gender analysis using field visit data.
